Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn returned to the slopes this weekend, less than seven months after having major reconstructive knee surgery following a heavy crash at the world championships in Schladming.

The 28 year old, a four-time World Cup overall champion, plans on returning to the World Cup circuit for the Beaver Creek event in November.

The most successful U.S. women’s skier in history, Vonn is just three wins shy of tying Austrian legend Annemarie Moser-Proell’s mark of 62 World Cup victories.
