Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto’o could soon be looking for a new club after owner Suleiman Kerimov decided to cut the team’s budget following a disappointing start to the season.

The Russian billionaire’s plans to trim costs would also bring to an end the brief reign of Dutch manager Rene Meulensteen, who took over from fellow countryman Guus Hiddink just two weeks ago.

Anzhi, who have spent around 240 million Euros since 2011, finished third in the Russian league last year and have just two points from their first four matches this season.
