The Smurfs are back for a new adventure in the ‘Smurfs 2’.

With his new creation, the Naughties, Gargamel the sorcerer kidnaps Smurfette and takes her to Paris.

The movie had its world premiere in Los Angeles. Katy Perry who voices the character of Smurfette brought her grandmother to the red carpet.

The singer and actress said: “It’s nostalgia. It makes you feel good and sometimes you go in to the cinema and you are like, oh my God, I’m going to have a panic attack because it was too intense or it was really upsetting or it’s emotionally disturbing. Here, you’re going to come out of this movie and feel happy.”

Britney Spears performs the ‘Smurfs 2’ title song ‘Ooh La La!’ with some backing vocals by Perry, she said: “I really love the song. It’s very pop oriented. My kids love it. It’s young and it’s fresh and it’s just really interesting to listen to.”

The new Smurf movie, which is made in 3D, in now on worldwide release.
