Le Bourget; world number one

Le Bourget; world number one

I have been attending the Bourget Air Show since 1987, without exception. Over the years it has been interesting to watch the battle that takes place between Le Bourget and Farnborough Air Show, which is held near London every even-numbered year.

For a long time Farnborough was the biggest event in terms of attendance and number of exhibitors. Recently, however, Le Bourget seems to have taken over, and now the French organisers can publicly boast not only about their historical supremacy (established in 1909, Le Bourget is the oldest air show), but also their commercial record.

Follow the Bourget Air Show on and on twitter. I’m @magibiz.
