Thai police uncover 1,000 'illegal' animals

More than 1,000 exotic animals including albino lions and hornbill birds have been discovered on the outskirts of Bangkok by Thai police.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of illegal trafficking, including the owner of an exotic pet shop who has previous convictions of wildlife trade.

The menagerie was uncovered in cages on land in a residential suburb after the authorities received a tip-off from local residents.
