The All Blacks welcomed France to New Zealand with a 23-13 victory over Les Blues in the first of the pair’s three-test series at Eden Park on Saturday.

Aaron Smith and Sam Cane crossed over for the hosts with Aaron Cruden slotting home 13 points from the boot, while Wesley Fofana scored France’s only try of the encounter.

The two nations square up again in Christchurch on the 15th of June and again for the final test in New Plymouth a week later.
