Former AC Milan legends Pippo Inzaghi and Andriy Shevchenko both netted in Kahka Kaladze’s testimonial match in Georgia on Friday, to the delight of the thousands of fans who had gathered at central stadium to wish the 35 year old luck in his new profession – politics.

Kaladze twice won the Champions League with the Rossoneris, with wins against Juventus and Liverpool, before becoming Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister in October last year.

Kaladze, who made 284 appearances for AC Milan scoring 13 goals in the process, follows the footsteps of such prominent football players as George Weah and Gianni Rivera who also chose politics after retiring from the sport.
