An electrical fire at an Islamic school in Yongan, Myanmar’s biggest city has killed 13 children, according to authorities.

The fire was caused by an overheated transformer. The 13 boys all died from smoke inhalation. The doors were locked in their dormitory due to tensions between Buddhists and Muslims, in which mosques and Muslim homes were burned.
