Kyla La Grange has been promoting her new album “Ashes.”
The singer/songwriter began to pen her own songs at the age of five and later went on the study philosophy.
“I don’t think I analyse emotions so much as just sort of bask in them, because when I write I’m kind of, really like the melodrama of being, not that I actively try and seek out drama, but when you are feeling very upset about something I think it’s really nice to get completely absorbed and swept up in it. I suppose you’re right in a sense that maybe I do sort of admit things to myself in songs that sometimes I haven’t really thought about, “ she says.
She has just completed a sell-out European tour, though she says performance does not come naturally.
“It took me a long time to get used to that, I didn’t like it at all. I just loved writing and that’s why I wanted to do it for a career, I though I spend so much of my time writing anyway if I could do this all the time that would be great, but you quickly realize it’s not just writing that you have to do it’s, you have to do everything else. I used to feel very awkward on stage. “
Her Album “Ashes” has picked up good reviews and industry watchers say she is one to look out for in the future.
