Arcelor Mittal is no longer welcome in France according to the minister for industrial recovery who accused the multinational of “lying” and “disrespect.”

The steel giant upset workers and government in October by announcing it was to close two furnaces at its plant in Florange.

The company gave the government 60 days to find a buyer.

Arnaud Montebourg claimed Arcelor Mittal were guilty of “overwhelming lies.”

The Mittal family say they are shocked by the outburst.
