Chinese protesters target Japan in island row

Thousands of Chinese protesters staged anti-Japanese demonstrations in several cities in an on-going row over a group of remote islands.

The dispute escalated in the week when China sent patrol ships to the uninhabited islands, which are believed to be in a part of the East China Sea rich in fish and mineral resources.
