Following recent bans for several Hells Angels groups in Germany, around 300 members of the biking club took to their Harley Davidsons on Saturday to call for the decision to be reversed.

A demonstration took place during a biking Festival in the financial capital Frankfurt, where two chapters of the club were closed last year. The rally also faced restrictions after officials banned logos of the group from being displayed.

Authorities in several other German regions – including the capital Berlin – carried out raids on several Hells Angels chapters over the past two months.

They alleged that numerous biker gangs were involved in violence, drugs and armed related crimes. The groups have even been accused of human trafficking for prostitution in some cities.

In June, one of the club’s former leaders was left in a coma after being gunned down in Berlin.
