The main suspect in the Canadian body parts murder case has been arrested in Germany. Porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta was picked up at an internet cafe in the capital Berlin after a tip off from an employee.

Magnotta is alleged to have videotaped himself murdering his Chinese lover before mailing parts of the dead man’s body to political parties.

CCTV images showed Magnotta walking into the cyber cafe on Monday. Minutes later the police arrive.

“He checked news pages about himself. I think it was a French page and a Youtube video of an interview with the French head of police,” said Kadir Anlayisli, an employee from the cyber cafe who recognised him almost immediately.

“I was running back and forth and checking what he was doing. Then I saw he wanted to print an ID card, he had opened a page especially for that.”

The 29-year-old, who’s been dubbed the ‘Canadian Psycho’, is now being held by German authorities.

He dated 33-year-old Chinese university student Jun Lin. A video posted online shows a man stabbing another man with an ice pick, while his victim lies naked and tied up.

Canadian TV says he will appear in court on Tuesday as extradition proceedings begin.
