Iran said on Wednesday that it will unveil “new proposals” at upcoming nuclear talks in Istanbul.
Iranian diplomats will meet with representatives from the five permanent members of the Security Council and a delegation from Germany on Saturday.
Tehran gave no further details about those initiatives and it is unclear whether the Islamic Republic will now consider suspending its uranium enrichment program.
The previous round of talks in January last year broke down because Iran refused to negotiate on enrichment. It says the programme is for civilian purposes.
On Tuesday, Iranian state media reported that the country would halt oil exports to Germany.
It comes ahead of an EU oil embargo that will take effect on July 1st.
