Nobel prize-winning German author Gunther Grass has drawn anger for a poem criticising Israel’s policies against Iran, which it accuses of being a danger to world peace.

The poem, called ‘What Must Be Said’ was published in German paper Suddeutsche Zeitung, and has provoked anger from Germans who believe it is Iran’s policies that pose the risk.

The Israeli Embassy in Berlin has written its own version of ‘What Must Be Said’, highlighting what it says is a tradition of anti-semitism before the Jewish Passover holiday.
