Barcelona kept themselves on track to retain their champions league title on Tuesday after the Catalans beat AC Milan 3-1 in the second leg in Spain.
Following a goalless first leg last week Pep Guardiola’s men produced the goods in their own back yard thanks to two Lionel Messi penalties and an Andres Iniesta strike on 53 minutes.
Antonio Nocerino scored for Milan on 32 minutes but it was all the visitors could muster against a better organised team.
Joining Barca in the last four of the competition are Bayern Munich who beat Marseille 2-0 at the Allianz Arena – venue for this season’s final.
Ivica Olic scored a double to send the Germans through four nil on aggregate.
