A second loud explosion has been reported near a church in Nigeria, this time in the central town of Jos.

Earlier in the capital Abuja a powerful blast tore through a church during a Christmas Day service.

One witness has counted at least 19 dead from the first explosion.

Officials said they did not have enough ambulances to evacuate the dead and wounded from St Theresa’s church which is in Madala on the outskirts of the capital.
