There is no doubt the aviation industry has been affected by the attacks of September 11, 2001 and by the financial crisis.
But it has received a boost with economic growth from emerging economies and unprecedented investment from the countries of the Persian Gulf helping the aviation industry survive the unexpected events of the last 10 years.
Against this background the Dubai Airshow has taken a vital role in the world of aviation and the organisers have ensured that this year’s show – in its 22nd year – is more important than ever.
It will be staged in an area of 325,000 square metres, big enough to accommodate more than 1,000 companies from 50 countries.
Although the Dubai Airshow was designed to be a regional exhibition, it has now grown to the extent it can be compared to the Paris Air Show.
From November 13 to 17, we will be at the Dubai Airshow to bring you the latest news from the world of aviation and air transport.
