The hotel maid who has accused Dominique Strauss-Khan of sexual assault in New York City looks set to launch a fresh complaint against the former IMF chief, this time in France.

The Diallo defence team is to file a complaint against a deputy mayor of Sarcelles, near Paris.

Diallo’s New York lawyer, Kenneth Thompson, claims an unnamed Sarcelles official travelled to the US in an attempt to prevent a potential witness giving testimony against Strauss-Khan. The woman is from Sarcelles, where Strauss-Khan served as mayor.

DSK also faces a further sex allegation by French journalist Tristane Banon (pictured) who claims he attacked her when she interviewed him in 2002.

Strauss-Khan dismissed the claims as “a figment of her imagination”.
