Chlorine gas leak strikes Iraq's Sadr City

Hundreds of Iraqis living in Sadr City near Baghdad were taken to hospital when poisonous chlorine gas escaped from a water-treatment plant.

Officials said a gas bottle exploded when a tanker next to the chlorine was being filled.

A cloud of gas floated over Sadr City sparking respiratory problems and stinging eyes.
