The Fukushima disaster in Japan in March threw the spotlight on Europe’s nuclear power plants. While the EU Commission and the bloc’s 27 member states separate atomic watchdogs try to find common stress test criteria we travelled to Caorso in the north of Italy.

Just outside the town lying on the river Po is one of the countries old nuclear reactors.
