An opinion poll in France suggests Marine Le Pen would beat President Nicholas Sarkozy in the first round of next years’ presidential elections.
She is the leader of the far-right National Front Party, and daughter of its former leader, Jean-Marie Le Pen.
The survey shows her beating Sarkozy by two points, with him on 21 and her on 23.
