In Alexandria the body of Noor Ali Noor, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood shot dead on Saturday, was carried through the streets.

He is one of hundreds thought to have died since protests against the rule of President Hosni Mubarak began last week.

Hospitals in the main cities of Cairo, Alexandria and Suez have also been treating thousands injured in clashes with security forces.

Despite this Egyptians say they will remain on the streets.

“The army and the nation together,” writes a man on a wall.

Calling for solidarity the demonstrations continue as the chants against the Egyptian President grow louder.
