Japanese carmaker Nissan says more than 600,000 vehicles are being recalled to have problems fixed.

Over half a million of them are four wheel drives – Xterras and Frontier pickups – that need to have the steering shaft replaced.

They were sold in North and South America and Africa.

There is also a recall for some Sentra cars because of a faulty battery cable.
