As the mobile medical units arrive at the Chilean mine where 33 miners have been trapped since August the 5th.
Anxious relatives camped above ground are sensing that their dreadful ordeal may soon be over.
Expectations are high that the men will emerge from their prison, 700 metres below the surface, sometime over the weekend.
Meanwhile, rescue teams are trying to keep a lid on the excitement.
With a further 100 meters to drill the team are encountering a fault line, which complicates the next phase of the operation.
For those on terra firma it is hard to think of anything but the return of their loved ones.
“ There is not long to go now, from here to the weekend, Sunday between Sunday and Saturday,” said one excited relative.
Originally it was feared the men would be incarcerated under the 700 thousand tonnes of rock until mid-December.
