A Pakistani airliner that diverted to Stockholm because of a bomb scare has left Sweden after no explosives were found.
A passenger who was arrested was also freed without charge.
The Boeing 777 was en route from Toronto to Karachi when a women called police from a Canadian payphone to say a man on board was carrying explosives.
Swedish security forces at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport evacuated the 273 people on board before searching the aircraft.
The man detained is a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin.
Police said the suspicions against him were not sufficiently strong to justify an arrest warrant, and after questioning he was released.
The plane left Stockholm for Manchester in the UK in preparation for completing its journey to Pakistan.
