Investors flock to German bonds

US jobs figures as well as uncertainty over the future of some euro zone economies and anaemic first quarter growth figures for the region meant investors flocked to buy German government bonds on Friday.

Other countries bonds are suffering, particularly those of Spain where industrial production was below expectations; Italian, French, Belgian and Portuguese bonds were also less in demand.
