A manhunt is underway in Northern England after several people were killed during a shooting spree.
The public have been told to stay indoors after a series of shootings in towns along the coast of West Cumbria, a mainly rural and isolated area on the verge of the country’s famous Lake District.
Police have identified the man as a 52-year-old from a local village. He is believed to be on foot and members of the public have been warned not to approach him.
The nearby Seascale nuclear power station is under lockdown.
