Liz McComb is an African American gospel diva, who originally came from a large family in Mississippi. Her father died when she little and her mother was a preacher at the local Pentecostal church. She has been singing practically all her life.
She sees the gospel message as being very simple, “Love,” she says, “love!” She thinks that in a time of economic crisis people want something tangible to hold onto so they turn to the blues and gospel music. It’s music you can hear in your belly, she says and stresses that she’s going back to her spiritual gospel roots with her new tour.
Liz McComb will be singing in Paris on 3rd June, and will then perform at the Hague Jazz Festival, the Vienne Jazz Festival and at Juan les Pins on the French Riviera.
