It has been a sad day in Athens as hundreds of people attended the funeral of a bank worker killed in rioting on Wednesday.

36 year old Vivi Zoulia was one of the members of staff who died when the building caught fire during pitched battles between protesters and the police.

Earlier in the day, the Greek Prime Minister, George Papandreou visited the charred remains of the bank, where a memorial of flowers and candles has been set up for the victims.

Zoulia, another man and a pregnant woman all died as protesters went on the rampage over proposed austerity measures.
