British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has apologised to a 65-year-old grandmother who he called “a bigoted woman”
The PM was caught insulting Gillian Duffy by a TV microphone after she attacked him over Labour’s immigration policy.
Brown went to Ms Duffy’s house to say sorry in person.
British media pointed to the remarks as another example of Brown’s reportedly fiery temper
Duffy, a lifelong Labour supporter, has said she will now not be voting for the party when Britons go to the polls next Thursday.
