Ikea workers protesting over pay have occupied the company’s French headquarters and three of its stores have been hit by strikes.

Industrial action closed a number of Ikea stores around France since the weekend.

The unions want a four percent wage rise and claim Ikea made more than 50 million euros profit last year.

Management is offering an average increase of 1.2 percent.
