The biggest climate summit in history has opened in Copenhagen with hosts Denmark saying an unmissable opportunity to save the planet is within reach.

Thousands of delegates from 192 countries are in the Danish capital for the two talks. Despite big doubts a binding treaty to cut CO2 emissions can be found, the world’s top emitters have pledged to strike some type of agreement. Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said: ‘‘Global warming knows no borders it does not discriminate it effects of all and we are here today because we are all committed to take action.’‘ This video was released by the hosts to highlight the increasing danger of rising temperatures.
