The Queen’s speech has unofficially signalled the start of the UK’s election campaign.
Gordon Brown set out his policy for the last ever time before a general election’s called next year. His series of populist measures are hoped to sway voters. It’s thought the poll will be held on the 6th of May. Lord Mandelson will head the election team. And Alastair Campbell may even make a comeback to try and help Labour win a fourth term. But it’s going to be a bitter battle with David Cameron, who is a clear lead in recent polls.
