Neukölln puts accent on integration

Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, more than 38 per cent of the Berlin city district of Neukölln is made up of immigrant familes and the unemployment rate in the immigrant community is over 40 per cent.

The local Town Hall is busy working on a range of innovative projects to secure its main objective – the education and integration of immigrant children to avoid serious social divisions in the future.
