The Beatles are back… and their “Rock Band” video game is a star attraction at a French hi-tech festival opening its doors to the public from today.
Paris is playing host to its fourth video game extravaganza with music making – modern-style – a major draw for 70,000 visitors. With an eye on the Christmas market, the industry is hoping the worst of the economic crisis is behind it. And there is already talk about the next generation of games – with minimum effort required. “Next in 2010, I think we are going to release some experiences that don’t require any movement, where your blood-flow and your pulse will be directly inputted into the home consoles and that is the way you are going to control the game – not by moving but by being very calm or very excited, we don’t know,” said Mathieu Minel, the Marketing Director of Nintendo France. So whatever takes your fancy, you can follow it on a screen – making your wildest dreams come true!
