You are invited to look down on the President of the European Commission, on the new website called ‘tellBarroso.eu’. No, really, it’s true! He’s asking for it, log on and have a look. He’s got his sleeves rolled up in the photo.
The site says: “In an effort to respond to European citizens opinion and priorities, tellBarroso.eu offers you the opportunity to participate in European decision making and constructing the future.” “Your opinion matters. What can Europe do for you?” TellBarroso.eu is interactive in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Polish, but not in the head commissioner’s native language, Portuguese. Still, the EU has 23 official languages, so quite a few others are asked to seek a compromise too.
