Nine people have been killed in an attack in Algeria on the final day of registration for candidates in the upcoming presidential election.

Earlier this month, the day after President Abdelaziz Bouteflika announced he would be standing again, there was another attack in which three people were killed. The latest attack claimed the lives of security guards at a construction site in Ziama Mansouriah, east of Algiers.
