Former rival John Edwards has thrown his support behind Barack Obama.
“The reason I am here tonight is the Democrat voters in America have made their choice known, and so have I. There is one man who knows in his heart that it is time to create one America, not two, and that man is Barack Obama.”

Edwards stepped out of the running himself in January. He is said to have been heavily courted by both Obama and Clinton since then. Despite the pairing, Hillary Clinton is not stepping aside, not yet.

“I am more determined than ever to go on,” she told her supporters.
