 'Blindness' opens Cannes 2008 Festival

The honour of opening the 2008 Cannes Film Festival fell to Fernando Meirelles’ adaptation of Jose Saramago’s novel ‘Blindness’. Six years after presenting ‘City of God’ in Cannes, the Brazilian director is back with a story focussing on a mysterious outbreak of blindness with an international cast led by Julianne Moore.
