A team of international engineers, architects and scientists have been tackling a monumental task in the Hungarian steel city of Dunaújváros. Under an EU-backed project called Solanova, they’ve been turning energy-hungry housing blocks of the communist era into energy-efficient passive houses of the 21st century.
