Serbs' reactions to EU pact delay

Serbs' reactions to EU pact delay

The EU deal with Serbia aims to set up regular political ties, open up trade and end visa restrictions on its citizens. In the streets of the capital, here were some of the reactions to the postponement of the pact:

“It is only a matter of time. We need to be patient. This is the revolt of people who lost in the elections. We have to deal with the EU with wise politics and be patient.”

“I think they (the European Union) are trying to give more time to the Serbian government to agree, hopefully. That has nothing to do with Kosovo. That is clear. I would sign the agreement.”

“I don’t agree with the deferral. I think we should join the EU.”
