Hillary Clinton showed no sign of disappointment as she addressed supporters, with her husband, ex-President Bill Clinton by her side. She emphasized the positive – the high turn out for Democrats, and vowed to keep fighting.
“How will we win in November 2008? By nominating a candidate who willl be able to go the distance and who will be the best President on Day 1. I am ready for that contest.”
Nevertheless her third place showing behind John Edwards is a big setback for someone who had, until recently, looked like a certainty in the Democrat camp. Hillary heads for New Hampshire knowing she has her work cut out.
