Gay Pride marchers have taken to the streets across the continent.
In Madrid demonstrators assembled outside the Polish embassy to protest against the treatment of gay people in the former communist state.
While in Paris it was a chance to dress up and party.
In the Netherlands, for the first time in Dutch history, uniformed soldiers took part in the parade in Bergen Op Zoom supported by the non-gay Defence Minister Cees Van Der Knapp and two generals.
They joined in to show that the Dutch army welcomes gay people.
