At least 10 people have died in Tennessee after a series of Tornados swept across several southern American states, leaving devastation in their wake. It is the second wave of severe storms to hit the area in less than a week. Last weekend 24 people were killed in western Tennessee, and more than 1000buildings were destroyed.
Nearly the entire easetrn seaboard felt the effects, as from Mississippi to northern Virginia, then moving northeast, the winds ripped roofs off homes and downed powerlines. The worst hit areas were the suburbs of Nashville, where at least eight of the victims lived. Some places were hit with hail the size of golf balls, and there have now been nearly 290 in the first three months of this year. For the same period last year, the figure was 70.
