Two senior Brazilian diplomats have arrived in London to join the investigation into the shooting by British police of a Brazilian man they allegedly mistook for a would-be suicide bomber.
On Wednesday the two officials will quiz investigators from the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which probes all fatal police shootings.
Jean Charles de Menezes was shot several times by a police officer last month on the London underground.
A leaked picture shows that he was not wearing a heavy jacket capable of hiding a bomb, as originally decribed by an eywitness.
Members of the vicitm’s family have called on Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair to resign over his handling of the affair.
The 27 year old Brazilian was killed a day after a number of attempted suicide bombings on London’s underground.
