Terror suspect Haroon Rashid Aswad has been extradited to Britain from Zambia where he was arrested last month. Media reports have linked Aswad, a British national, to the July 7 London bombings that killed 52 people plus the four bomb carriers. But a British police source has said he is not thought to be linked with those attacks. No arrests have yet been made in connection with the July 7 attacks, though it is believed the four bombers may have had backers. Aswad is likely to be further extradited to the United States where he is wanted in connection with an alleged attempt to set up a militant training camp in Oregon. Meanwhile Yassin Hassan Omar, one of the men suspected of carrying out the aborted bomb attacks in London on July 21, has been formally charged by police. Aged 24, Omar is the first of the four men arrested in connection with the attacks to be charged. He was arrested on July 27 in Birmingham where he was captured by police using a Tazer stun gun.
