It caused shock and some anger in Iraq and elsewhere, now the US says it is to investigate the publication of photos of Saddam Hussein in his underwear.
The Pentagon has condemned the release of the pictures which appeared in a British tabloid newspaper and says it will track down and punish those who took them.
President George Bush has also spoken out against the publication of the images which has been described as a violation of the Geneva Convention.
The Sun newspaper says it got them from a military source.

The incident is likely to heighten hostility towards the US in some muslim nations where there is already anger over a news report of desecretation of the Koran.
