It is delightful for some but causing headaches for others. A blanket of snow has fallen across European centres including Scotland, France, Spain and Italy. Traffic has been severely disrupted in many areas, bringing a main motorway in the centre of Italy to a standstill, to highlight just one route affected.
Many flights have been disrupted. In Paris, air traffic was reduced to just 30 percent earlier on Wednesday at Charles de Gaulle airport, and nothing was moving at Orly airport. For the tourists though the snow gave the French capital a make-over, a chance to see famous attractions in a different light. Council workers have been busy trying to clear away several centimetres of snow, while those less worried about the white stuff have been making the most of it.
