For over 150 years, the four lions at the foot of Nelson's Column have sat silently, guarding London's central Trafalgar Square.

Now, the bronze sculptures have a noisy neighbour — an artificial intelligence-powered, fluorescent red lion that roars poetry.

'Please Feed The Lions' is an interactive sculpture, part of the British capital's annual design festival.

The public is invited to "feed the lion," by typing a random word into a nearby touchscreen. The sculpture's inbuilt AI then generates a poem based on that word.
